About Us

 

Luther Auto Group is the Midwest’s largest family of dealerships with 29 brands and 40+ locations. In addition to representing new and used car dealerships and services. Luther has established the Luther Techincal Training Center, a fast-track technical facility providing an education focused on automotive technology.

At Luther, we’re committed to providing an engaging and supportive learning environment with the intention of enriching lives, strengthening communities, and preparing each candidate for a lifelong career with Luther Automotive.

Training Center Resources

 

Bright space D2L will be used as the training center Learner Management System.

Textbook resource: “Automotive Technology Principles, Diagnosis, and Service” 6th Edition by James D. Halderman.

 

All Necessary tools, equipment, and diagnostic scan tools are provided.

Student work uniforms are provided. 

Student Expectations

 

  • Arrive on time
  • Be responsible for all assigned shop tools and laptop computer
  • Participate during lectures
  • Complete all classroom, lab, and homework assignments
  • Maintain a “C” average or higher
    • Professionalism, chapter assignments, lab assignments, formal assignments
  • Perform vehicle service producing billable hours on current models
  • Complete required manufacturer certification training & ASE certifications

A = 90% to 100%
B = 80% to 89.9%
C = 70% to 79.9%

Admission

 

The Luther Technical Training Center is open to all students without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, creed origin, sexual orientation, disability, or marital status. 

  • Applicant must be able to read and write English
  • Be at least 18 years of age. Students who are 17 and have not yet reached their 18th birthday will need parental consent.
  • Have an initial interview with an Admissions Representative 

Careers

Dealership Internship

 
After successful completion of Module 1 student will work at Luther while completing the technical training program.

Students are expected to work at sponsoring dealership.

To best facilitate your educations in the shop, all power tools hand tools, and testing equipment are provided for you. Our highly trained and certified instructors are available before and after class to assist you in your studies. This provides ample opportunity for you to do extra work, receive tutoring, or have your questions answered.
